Two-Month Postoperative Review After Revision Rhinoplasty Using Autologous Costal Cartilage
본문

Now that two months have passed since my revision rhinoplasty using autologous costal cartilage,
the nasal shape has become quite familiar to me.
Although this is still a period that requires caution,
I have not experienced any significant inconvenience in daily life
and am adapting naturally to the changes.
There have been no dramatic changes,
and in fact, this has been reassuring.
I hoped that the height and contour I was satisfied with at the one-month mark
would be maintained,
and so far, the shape has remained stable without noticeable alteration,
which has increased my overall satisfaction.
Residual swelling continues to subside gradually,
allowing the nasal lines to appear cleaner and more refined.
As the nasal height improved,
the overall facial proportions also seem more balanced.
Interestingly, despite having gained some weight recently,
I have been told quite often that my face appears smaller,
likely due to the added three-dimensional definition.
At my most recent follow-up visit,
no additional procedures were required,
and Dr. Kim Hyun Joo personally evaluated my condition.
I was informed that any areas of firm scar tissue
can be treated with laser therapy at the three-month mark,
which provided reassurance.
Overall, I am very pleased with the current appearance
and hope that the nose continues to stabilize
and fully settle as my own natural feature.
Up to the two-month point,
the recovery process has been smooth and satisfying.
The revision surgery was performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo at RU Plastic Surgery
using the following plan: autologous costal cartilage, silicone implant,
columellar lengthening, nasolabial angle correction,
and short nose correction.
