Postoperative Update After Primary Rhinoplasty
본문

After my first rhinoplasty,
the most noticeable improvement has definitely been my side profile.
It looks significantly more refined and aesthetically balanced.
Because the result is very natural,
many people have commented that I look better lately
without realizing that I had surgery.
Since I also underwent functional nasal surgery for rhinitis,
my sense of smell has not yet fully returned
to its preoperative level.
However, this has been gradually improving,
and I was informed that it typically recovers over time,
so I am not overly concerned.
At my most recent follow-up visit,
there were no particular issues noted.
I received swelling laser treatment,
and was told that most of the nasal swelling has resolved,
with only mild residual swelling remaining at the nasal tip.
From my own perspective as well,
my nose looks noticeably slimmer and more refined
compared to one month ago.
People around me often ask
whether I would choose to have the surgery again
if I could go back to before the operation,
and my answer is always yes.
I am extremely satisfied with the results.
The surgery was performed using autologous rib cartilage and silicone,
and included correction for a bulbous nose,
nasolabial angle adjustment,
and short nose correction.
The procedure was performed by Dr. Kim Hyun Joo
at RU Plastic Surgery.
