Before revision rhinoplasty, my nasal bridge was low,
and the nasal tip had a hump-like appearance.
Both the bridge and the tip were deviated to the right,
which made my facial asymmetry appear more pronounced,
and I wanted to address these issues.
One of the reasons RU Plastic Surgery stood out to me
was the single-surgeon system.
I visited several other clinics as well,
and I was told that Dr. Hyunjoo Kim is widely recognized
for his expertise in using autologous rib cartilage.
Because I had previously undergone septoplasty for a deviated septum,
the use of autologous or donor rib cartilage was necessary.
The fact that autologous rib cartilage is used extensively and professionally
was another important reason I chose RU Plastic Surgery.
Both Dr. Hyunjoo Kim and the consultation director were kind, attentive,
and thorough during the consultation process.
Among many before-and-after cases, the surgical results at RU Plastic Surgery
most closely matched the nasal shape I was hoping for.
I underwent revision rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage
and silicone.
I requested a height that was not overly dramatic,
a softly rounded nasal tip, and improved symmetry.
After surgery, the correction of asymmetry has been especially satisfying.
My nostrils were uneven before,
but they are now symmetrical following the procedure,
which I find remarkable.
I was also informed that my septal structure had been significantly compromised,
but it was successfully reconstructed during surgery.
Even though the silicone support has not yet been removed,
my breathing already feels improved compared to before.
As it has not yet been two weeks since surgery,
there is still swelling, and the shape of the bridge and tip
is not fully settled.
Even at this early stage, however,
I am very satisfied simply with the improved symmetry.
