After my previous rhinoplasty,
over time the skin on my nasal tip became thinner,
and the cartilage started to show through.
I also found myself wanting
a more natural straight-line nose
that harmonizes with my face,
rather than an artificial curved or semi-curved style.
Through a recommendation,
I learned that RU Plastic Surgery
is known for handling complex
and revision cases.
What stood out to me was their approach—
focusing on finding the most suitable design
for each individual
without unnecessary procedures.
After the consultation,
I felt confident and decided
to proceed with revision surgery.
My procedure included
autologous rib cartilage for the nasal tip,
and a custom 3D Inofit implant
for the bridge.
To address the issue of cartilage visibility,
the tip was reinforced
with autologous rib cartilage
and additional fascia coverage
to improve long-term stability.
Immediately after surgery,
I was worried about swelling
and rib donor site discomfort,
and even concerned that my nose
might look overly swollen at first.
There was also slight asymmetry early on
due to uneven swelling,
which made me feel a bit anxious.
However, once the splint was removed,
I could clearly see that
my previously upturned nose
had been improved
and settled into a more natural position.
Despite the surgery taking place
around a holiday period,
I received multiple swelling laser treatments
before splint removal,
which significantly reduced bruising
and allowed for a quicker return
to daily life.
Unlike large clinics,
the environment here felt calm and comfortable,
and both Dr. Hyunjoo Kim,
the head consultation manager,
and the nursing staff
were all very attentive and kind.
I truly felt that the patient
was the top priority throughout the process.
