6 Months After Revision Rhinoplasty for Short Nose
본문

I had my first rhinoplasty a few years ago,
but over time, my nose started to look more upturned,
and people around me kept saying
it looked shorter and like an upturned nose.
The tip and bridge weren’t even lifted much,
and although my nose was originally low,
I wanted a higher and longer-looking nose,
but instead, it kept turning upward,
which became very stressful.
Then I came across a nose shape I really liked on social media,
and it turned out to be from RU Plastic Surgery.
The more I looked into Dr. Hyun Joo Kim’s cases,
the more I trusted his skills,
so I immediately booked a consultation.
After explaining my concerns,
I was told improvement was possible,
which gave me confidence to proceed
and schedule my revision surgery right away.
I was very nervous on the day of surgery,
but surprisingly, there was much less pain than expected.
Even though it was a revision,
I kept wondering why it didn’t hurt as much,
which made me realize
how much surgical skill can affect recovery.
My nose itself wasn’t painful at all,
and aside from some discomfort from nasal discharge,
it was manageable.
The rib donor site did hurt
until about day 5,
but overall, it was tolerable.
Now at 6 months,
the shape suits my face very well,
and people around me often ask
for information about the clinic,
with some even visiting RU Plastic Surgery
after my recommendation.
For my surgery, I had revision rhinoplasty
using autologous rib cartilage for the tip,
silicone for the bridge,
along with short nose correction,
nasolabial angle correction,
columella lengthening,
and dermal graft coverage for the bridge.
