3 Months After Revision Rhinoplasty for Contracted Nose
본문

After developing a contracted nose,
my tip became noticeably lifted,
my nostrils became more exposed,
and the nose itself felt very stiff.
I visited many different clinics,
but most told me
that I didn’t have enough skin flexibility,
and I spent nearly 6 months
going through consultations alone.
I visited many well-known clinics
for contracted nose revision and reconstruction,
but none of them felt significantly different.
Then by chance,
I came across the RU Plastic Surgery YouTube channel,
and after seeing before-and-after cases
of patients with noses similar to mine,
I decided to schedule a consultation
with both hope and concern.
Although I was told there were limitations,
I was also told that meaningful improvement was possible.
After multiple stem cell treatments,
I underwent revision surgery using
autologous rib cartilage for the tip,
and diced rib cartilage wrapped in fascia
for the bridge reconstruction.
Because the stem cell treatments were very painful,
I worried that recovery after surgery
would also be extremely difficult,
but it was actually more manageable than expected.
Since I had already undergone rib cartilage harvesting before,
the discomfort felt similar to what I remembered,
and although the temporal fascia donor site
had some lingering soreness,
it wasn’t unbearable at all.
Now it has been over 3 months
since my contracted nose reconstruction
at RU Plastic Surgery,
and my daily life honestly feels very different now.
Unlike before,
I no longer worry
that my nose looks strange from the front.
Instead,
I actually feel that my nose looks beautiful now,
and I walk around much more confidently.
I’m truly grateful
to Dr. Hyun Joo Kim
and all of the kind staff at RU Plastic Surgery.
