Two Months After Rhinoplasty – Gradually Getting Used to the Changes
본문

Before / 2m post-op
It has already been two months since my rhinoplasty, and these days I often forget that I even had nose surgery.
If I intentionally scrunch or move my nose, the center still feels somewhat stiff and slightly numb,
almost as if there is some residual anesthetic sensation. However, during my normal daily activities, I barely notice it anymore.
I had my rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Hyun Joo Kim at RU Plastic Surgery, using a silicone implant and autologous costal cartilage.
Every now and then, I catch a glimpse of myself in a mirror or a store window without really thinking about it,
and I notice how much more defined my facial features look and how nicely my nose fits my face. In the past,
when I saw my reflection unexpectedly, my facial features seemed to blend together and look less defined.
Now, I feel like my nose gives my face much more dimension and definition.
Since I had my surgery during the winter, I initially thought my persistent runny nose was simply due to the cold weather.
However, even now that spring has arrived, I still experience frequent nasal discharge.
I plan to ask Dr. Kim about this at my next follow-up appointment.
Overall, I feel like I am gradually adjusting to each of the changes and becoming more comfortable with my new appearance as time goes on.
