Two-Month Review After Revision Rhinoplasty for a Deviated Nose
본문

Before / 2M post-op
It has now been over two months since I underwent revision rhinoplasty for a deviated nose using autologous rib cartilage, and I wanted to share how my recovery has been progressing.
It is surprising how quickly the past two months have passed.
Before deciding on revision surgery, I had many concerns because this was not my first rhinoplasty. I was also particularly worried about the recovery process, including pain, swelling, and the use of rib cartilage.
Now that I am more than two months postoperatively, however, I am very satisfied with the overall progress.
Immediately after surgery, there was naturally some swelling and unfamiliarity in the appearance of my nose, so I felt that I would need to give it time before accurately evaluating the final contour.
Compared with the one-month stage, significantly more swelling has subsided, and the overall shape now looks much more natural.
From the frontal view, the nasal line appears noticeably straighter and more refined than before.
I am also very pleased with how the nasal tip has settled from the side, and I feel much more satisfied when taking photos.
Because this was a revision procedure, I had been especially concerned about the condition of my previous nose and whether the deviated appearance or nasal tip might still look unnatural after surgery.
However, I feel that Dr. Hyunju Kim created a balanced result that suits my facial features without making the nose look excessive or overly operated.
Before surgery, I was always very conscious of camera angles because of the shape of my nose.
I particularly felt dissatisfied with my side profile and three-quarter view, but now those angles look much more natural to me, and I feel that my overall facial appearance has become more balanced and refined.
At the two-month stage, the swelling is no longer changing dramatically from day to day. Instead, the nose seems to be gradually settling and becoming more natural over time.
The heavy or tight sensation that I initially felt around the nasal tip and bridge has also decreased, and making facial expressions is becoming progressively more comfortable.
I understand that the nose has not yet reached its final stage of healing, but I am already much happier with the current shape compared with before surgery.
I am looking forward to seeing how the result continues to refine as more time passes.
I also felt that choosing the right clinic and surgeon was especially important for revision rhinoplasty.
From the initial consultation, Dr. Hyunju Kim at RU Plastic Surgery listened carefully to my concerns and focused on creating a natural improvement that would suit my face rather than recommending an overly dramatic nasal line.
That approach gave me confidence before surgery, and I continue to feel that choosing RU Plastic Surgery for my revision rhinoplasty was the right decision for me.
At a little over two months postoperatively, the swelling has decreased considerably, the overall appearance has become much more natural, and I am very satisfied with the shape of my nose.
I am looking forward to seeing how the nose continues to settle at the three-month and six-month stages. Despite having many concerns before revision surgery, my recovery has been progressing well so far, and I remain very pleased with the result.
