2-Week Review of Male Functional Rhinoplasty for Nasal Congestion
본문

Before / Post-Op 2Weeks
I've struggled with severe rhinitis and frequent nasal congestion for a long time, which often made daily life uncomfortable.
I also wanted to improve my bulbous and short nose, as I felt that these features made my overall appearance look somewhat flat and less defined.
After considering both my functional and aesthetic concerns, I decided to undergo functional rhinoplasty to correct my deviated nasal septum while improving the shape of my nose.
I first heard about RU Plastic Surgery through a close acquaintance who had recently undergone the same type of functional rhinoplasty for rhinitis.
They were extremely satisfied with their results and highly recommended the clinic to me.
During my consultation, I also felt confident in the clinic and decided to proceed with surgery.
Dr. Hyun Joo Kim explained that my nasal septum was deviated to one side and that functional correction would be necessary to improve my breathing.
From an aesthetic perspective, we decided to use a silicone implant and autologous rib cartilage to correct my bulbous and short nose while creating a more defined nasal shape.
Immediately after surgery, I experienced some discomfort due to swelling and nasal congestion, but the overall recovery process was easier than I had expected.
Especially after the first week, I was able to return to my daily routine without much difficulty, and I could already feel that breathing through my nose had become noticeably easier than before.
In terms of appearance, my nasal bridge and tip now look naturally more elevated, and the bulbous and short appearance of my nose has improved.
I feel that these changes have made my overall facial features look more defined and balanced.
Although I'm still in the early stages of recovery, I'm already very satisfied with both the functional and aesthetic improvements.
I'm really glad I decided to undergo surgery, and I'm looking forward to seeing my results improve even more as the swelling continues to subside!
