Review After Rhinoplasty for a Short Nose Using Autologous Rib Cartilage
본문

Before / 1M post-op
I wanted to improve both the short appearance of my nose and its relatively low overall height.
While researching rhinoplasty, I looked through many before-and-after reviews on different websites and cosmetic surgery apps.
I also saved several results that particularly caught my attention from YouTube and cosmetic surgery review platforms, and I eventually realized that many of the cases I liked were from RU Plastic Surgery.
After consulting with Dr. Hyunju Kim, I decided to use a customized 3D implant rather than a conventional nasal implant.
During the consultation, I was also advised to undergo columellar lowering, nasolabial angle correction, and bulbous tip correction as part of the surgical plan.
I experienced less swelling than I had expected, and once the nasal splint was removed, I recovered quickly enough to return to my normal daily routine.
Overall, I am very pleased with the result.
One of the changes I am especially happy with is the improvement in my side profile after the nasolabial angle correction. I feel that my mouth appears less protrusive in profile and that the overall facial balance looks much better.
Before surgery, I was often self-conscious about showing my side profile, but now I find myself taking side-profile photos much more often.
I am very satisfied with how the overall shape has changed and how much more confident I feel about my profile.
