Over Two Months After Bulbous Nose Rhinoplasty
본문

Before / 2M post-op
It has already been a little over two months since I underwent rhinoplasty for a bulbous nose at RU Plastic Surgery.
Before surgery, my nose had a broad, bulbous appearance, and my nasal bridge was very low. Whenever I did my makeup, I felt like I had to spend a lot of time contouring my nose to give it more definition.
I was also told that my nasal bones were relatively wide, so there were several structural areas that needed to be addressed. Because of these concerns, I had wanted to undergo rhinoplasty for quite some time.
Before choosing a clinic, I watched a lot of rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty vlogs on YouTube. Whenever I came across a result that matched my aesthetic preferences and looked up the clinic afterward, I noticed that many of those patients had undergone surgery at RU Plastic Surgery.
That made me feel that Dr. Hyunju Kim’s aesthetic approach might align well with what I wanted. After scheduling a consultation, I was relieved to find that he understood the specific shape and overall direction I had in mind.
After discussing the surgical plan with Dr. Kim, I decided to use an Innofit customized 3D implant rather than a conventional nasal implant.
My surgery also included autologous rib cartilage, osteotomy, bulbous tip correction, and functional nasal surgery for rhinitis. I was also able to receive reimbursement through my private insurance for the functional portion of the procedure.
Now that I am more than two months postoperative, I no longer have any pain.
I recently returned to the clinic for a follow-up with Dr. Kim and was told that my recovery was progressing well without any particular concerns, which was very reassuring.
Before surgery, I had heard many stories about people being dissatisfied with their first rhinoplasty and eventually needing revision surgery, so I had been quite worried. In my case, however, I am very satisfied with how things are progressing so far and feel much more at ease about the result.
Compared with the one-month mark, a significant amount of swelling has already subsided.
I was told that the nose should continue to become slimmer and more refined as the remaining swelling gradually settles, so for now, I am simply giving it more time and looking forward to seeing how the final shape develops.
